Last Friday a family friend had her henna ceremony party/event followed by her wedding on Tuesday the 7th of April! A BIG congratulations to Rukia and Adil ❤
I thought I will share with you all my makeup and outfit details from both wedding events! For those of you who may not already know I come from a Bangladeshi background hence making me a Scottish Asian! I love dressing up in Asian clothes whenever I get that chance just because I LOVE wearing fancy clothes and also….who doesn’t love dressing up and taking pictures? ;o)
For the mehendi ( henna) ceremony I opted for this beautiful royal blue and yellow kaftan which I actually bought from Saudi Arabia! I literally felt like an Arab princess….LOL! A very similar makeup look I wore on the night is already up on my blog. Check it out here https://obsessionmuch.wordpress.com/2015/01/13/blue-gold-makeup-look/. I paired this dress with a royal navy headscarf which I bought from http://www.pearl-daisy.com.
I loved doing this makeup look again! The lashes I wore with this look is by Eyelure in No 121.
Roll on the wedding :oD
I wore this gorgeous long dress bought from the store Rang in London. This definitely made me feel like a princess! The colour combination of red and gold is my absolute favourite! As the dress was very bold I toned down my makeup.
I blended in Sienna in my crease and patted in Glisten on my lids. Both these eye shadows are from the Maya Mia Palette by Anastasia Beverley Hills. I put half a lash on the outer corners of my eyes and concealed the lash band with black eyeliner. As the eyes were simple I paired it with deep red lips.
For my accessories I wore this lovely daisy hand chain I bought from New Look a while ago. The beautiful gold headscarf is from Pearl Daisy and to glam up my headscarf a tiny bit I wore this daisy chain on top, again from Pearl Daisy. How cute is the white rose?! The gold bag I used was borrowed from my aunt.
Overall I had so much fun on both nights. My 2 outfits including the makeup were different from each other which I am glad about. The first event my makeup was dramatic whereas on the second night it was more on the simple side with just a pop of red!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post ❤ Take Care XXX
As 2015 is literally around the corner I compiled my favourite products of 2014 which also seem to be under £10 :oD We all love beauty products that are amazing for their quality and the price right?! I have seen a few videos on You Tube where people talk about their favourites and I always thought it was going to be hard but surprisingly it was the opposite. I say surprisingly because I always switch up my products but when it came to selecting out the products to write about I just knew which ones were my favourites! Lets just say some of these products were also my morning life savers…you know when you miss your alarm and have like 5 minutes to get ready but NEED to look presentable…..Yup those kinda mornings….
Here are my top 10 products UNDER £10!
This is the I Divine in Storm Palette by Sleek retailing for £7.99. For the price, this palette is amazing! The eye shadows are incredibly pigmented and smooth. I am a huge fan of primers, both face and eyes, though for these I can get away with not using a primer. With the variety of colours this offers, you can easily use it for a subtle day time eye or pump your whole look with the gorgeous shimmery cranberry, navy blue or even the forest green colour ❤
Not going to lie but I had a bit of a moment when I swatched this eyeshadow for the first time. For £1 the quality and pigmentation of this product is on a whole new level. A level I didn’t even knew existed. This is the Mmmm mono eyeshadow by Makeup Revolution. It is a matte deep brown with great colour pay off. It blends like a dream and is fab for contouring!
I am so sure I use this every day….This is the Rimmel lip liner in Oil Spice retailing for £2.99. What can I say about this lipliner?! Simply just love it! It is very easy to apply, creamy and leaves a matte finish without over drying the lips. Also very suitable for a variety of skin tones as I have used them on different clients before.
Being a concealer addict always on the hunt for great concealers this one by Rimmel is great bargain for £5.49. Very thin consistency and creamy, blends beautifully and doesn’t cake up under the eyes!
This is the B.Vibrant Lip and Cheek colour in Goji 138 which costs £3.99 ( normally £7.99 but reduced down in Superdrug). This is a lovely berry colour. I usually wear it as a day time bold lip but equally looks nice on the cheeks. It is very hydrating on the lips so for the price this product is a must for me.
This lipstick is simply called shade 11 by Makeup Academy and retails for only £1. Makeup academy always have very creamy and hydrating lip products and this one as always is just as amazing. It is quite a browney colour with a pink/burgundy undertone. Colour is hard to explain but great for the days when I want a natural lip colour.
I decided to go out and buy this eyeliner by NYC after hearing Desi Perkins from You Tube rave about it. After buying it for only £2.49 I totally knew why she was in love with it. It has a very thin point which allows for a sharp flick and accessibility to go right in the inner corners of the eye. The liquid is indeed a true black, perfect for a dramatic eyeliner look.
This blush by Makeup Academy retails for £1 and is simply the bomb.com. It is called Lolly which totally reminds me of the Chupa Chupa lollipops :oD…..just me?? It is a bubblegum pinkey colour and as you can see, I have hit pan. It is totally worth that quid considering how pigmented and long-lasting the colour is.
I use this clear mascara as a clear brown gel. It is by 2True and costs only £1.99. It does the job of a normal brow gel, keeps them in place all throughout the day! It is not clear any more as it has been mixed in with the brown powder I used on my brows. Overall a great product :o)
Whenever anyone asks me for my recommendation of a mascara I honestly always tell them to go for the Maybelline Colossal mascara which costs £7.19. I definitely have a soft spot for this product because it was my first ever mascara I bought and luckily it was worth every penny. I am not a mascara fan but this makes my lashes look so full! It gives the lashes length and volume, works wonders I tell you.
That is all lovelies! Was quite a long post but hopefully it can give new product ideas?!
