How to: False Lash Application

Hello Blogging buddies :o)

Today I am going to be sharing with you all how to apply false lashes. I do not know if there are different ways to put on lashes, this is just the way I do them and I hope it can help you!

First of all, find a good lash glue. There are loads out on the market, from what I have heard the brand Duo is really good. Here is the one I use…

I do love this stuff! Half way through!

Can’t forget the most important part..LASHES. These are the ‘Dramatic’ ones by Primark. These are the only ones I have been using so far but now I can actually put them on, I can splurge on different lashes. Though having said that for a £1 Primark lashes are decent.

I put a little bit of glue along the band of the lash and pick it up with my tweezers. The tweezers I own are Superdrug brand.

Looking into a mirror I tilt my head up and place the lash as closely as I can onto my lash line.

After doing so I squeeze my false lashes and real lashes together. To be extra sure that it wont come off, I grab my tweezers and push the lash downwards (without too much force).

As you can see that with lashes it can make a difference. In my opinion it pulls the whole makeup look together.

Voila! That is my method. If you cannot seem to grasp putting on lashes then don’t freak out, keep trying. Truuussttt me, it has taken quite a few months of practise for me!

I do have another blog post on how I got the makeup I have in the pictures above, keep an eye out! ❤ XXX

Winter Lippies

Hi guys!

How are you all?? Hope everyone has had a great day :o)

The chilly days are upon us which means winter is nearly here, yay :oD. I personally love when the day gets dark quickly, with the cold wind blowing in my face and layering up in my scarfs. Even though I do not celebrate Christmas I love the atmosphere the winter months bring with them :o) So cosy!

For the beauty side of things people tend to wear much darker lipsticks. This for me is pretty damn exciting since dark lips are kinda my thing. From rich reds to berry shades to nearly black lipsticks, there is always so much colour on the lips! In today’s post I will be sharing with you all a few of my favourites. Lets get started.

This is shade Rossetto in 01 from the Kate Collection by Rimmel. Very creamy and hydrating. This is a blue undertone lipstick which makes your teeth look whiter. Amazing right?

I literally feel the need to applaud for this lipstick! Seriously so hydrating on the lips you wouldn’t even believe! This is a purpley lipstick by Lancome and it is called L’Absolu Nu.

A beautiful cranberry shade from Kate Collection again. If you don’t own any winter lipsticks then this is the one I would highly recommend for everyone to buy!

This is Sea Sheer by Mac. The formulation of this lipstick is amazingly creamy which is one reason why I am always at the lipstick section in Mac. Really need to buy a few more in different colours… ;o)

Right no joke when I say I have had this lipstick for ages. Totally forgot when I purchased. This is by Revlon in the shade Rosewine. It is more of a peachy red colour, great for a more day time red lip!

Hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful! Let me know what your favourite lip products are in the comments section! XXX

Farewell…for now

Hi Blogging buddies :o)

Just wanted to pop in quickly to tell you all that I shall not be blogging at all in 3 weeks. Yes I am very gutted but it is near to impossible to blog in these 3 weeks! The reason for that is because me and my parents are going away on a Pilgrimage, also known as Hajj. In Saudi Arabia, where we will be performing Hajj, I will not have any access to a laptop. The laptop I use to blog with will be left at home as well as my camera. I promise to continue blogging as soon as I come back! I have a list of ideas and lookbooks. Plus I love winter so creating winter makeup looks is definitely something I am aiming to do!

See you next month! xoxoxo

Neutral Eyes and NO lipstick?!

Hi Guys! I hope you are all having a great day so far!

Last week me and my friend went out for lunch to Gourmet Burger. Since I have already mentioned where we went to I shall also say that Gourmet Burger food is just delicious. They have a variety of burgers, sides and the chicken is halal! So if you are ever in George Street for lunch, do check them out!

Now let’s get to the makeup part :o) I chose very neutral eyes with a pop of shimmer in the inner corners of my eye. Surprisingly I didn’t feel like wearing lipstick….whoever knows me personally knows that I am a hardcore lipstick addict! Instead I just applied a thin layer of lip balm and rocked my natural lip colour. My outfit and hijab style was very Arabian inspired. Recently I have been loving wavy dresses and messy but not so messy hijab. You know the effortless and elegant look!

This dress was purchased from the Edinburgh Mela. I love the net lacy detailing across the neck and arms. The colour of this dress is a stunning cranberry shade-perfect for Fall/Autumn.

My eye make up was super simple. I patted gold eyeshadow on my lid and with a blending brush I defined my crease with brown eyeshadow. Even though it was a simple eye, I kept on building up the crease with different shades of brown for a more smokey look. In my waterline I applied white eyeliner and smudged out my lower lash line with dark brown eyeshadow. In my inner corner I gave a pop of colour which was a shimmery white colour. Obviously I gave myself a winged liner, topped with mascara and voila!

Hello Beautiful readers!

Image

Well, today I officially begin writing on my blog…I planned this a while ago but never really got round to it. If you are curious about future posts on my blog then there will mainly be posts about makeup and anything else beauty related. From reviews, hauls and even makeup looks(all that good stuff!). I am not a professional makeup artist though I have a really strong passion for it and I want to share it with everyone :o) .

Everything I have learnt about makeup is through you tube, other bloggers and a LOT of pracise! Over the past year I have spent a lot of my time dedicated to reading other blog posts and watching you tube videos. Some may think this is sad and silly but my love for makeup just kept accumulating! I went out and bought the basic tools for makeup application and began practising and practising and practising…. After a year I thought it was big time to share my interest for makeup with everyone, hence the birth of this blog ;o) I also have an Instagram account where I post makeup looks so make sure to check that out @humeradewan_X

Thank you for reading, see you soon! XX
