Cafe’o’clock- Lovecrumbs

Hi guys,

It Cafe’o’clock again! For those of you who may be unfamiliar with this concept, then it is basically me chit chatting about a recent cafe visit. My last Cafe’o’Clock post was Piece Box, check it out here https://obsessionmuch.wordpress.com/2014/08/28/cafeoclock-piece-box/. Now if you were to ask me where most of my money goes towards then I would tell you it goes towards food! Not food where you pop into Scotmid and buy a bar of chocolate but cafe food! Coffees. teas, cakes, biscuits…..and the list goes on. Yes I know, so very unhealthy but actually most of the things I buy are moderately healthy ish ;o)

Today I will be talking to you about Lovecrumbs. Lovecrumbs is located on 155 West Port, Edinburgh, EH3 9DP.  They are a cake-only cake shop.

The shop opened at 10.30 am and I was one of the first few people to arrive. To my surprise within 20-25 minutes of the  place opening it was super busy! There were students like myself, the elderly and also mums who had come hence showing that this cafe is welcome and suitable for all. After I entered the store the first thing I spotted were the beautiful cakes, scones and croissants on display! My heart really did skip a beat ❤

The pumpkin spice cookie I ordered is the one on the top left covered in icing! NOM NOM NOM

The pricing was decent, not too expensive. My total was £3.80. I gave my order ( black coffee & Pumpkin Spice Cookie) to the person behind the till who was very smiley. I do like when the staff are friendly as it creates a more positive environment. Thumbs up to the cheerful staff at Lovecrumbs!

I managed to find a small table to sit down. A few minutes later the coffee was brought to me in a little cup with my cookie which by the way can I say was so yummy! The coffee cup was a bit small but I was kind of glad because it tasted a bit funny….I believe their coffee beans must have been quite different compared to my normal Costa/Starbucks coffee beans.

They had small tables and big tables which is perfect as some people came in big groups which meant that the cafe was accommodating everybody. The cake was buzzing with everybody talking, the noise of the coffee machine, a little baby girl crying/laughing away. For me personally a good cafe is where I feel comfortable and can just get on with my business. I have been to a few cafes where I felt uneasy at times for different reasons. However at Lovecrumbs, despite it being busy, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.

Overall my experience here was fab :o) I really had to force myself and leave actually. I was so engrossed in reading my book and just feeling comfy that it made me leaving my chair a bit of a struggle. Highly recommend checking out this cafe!

Top 10 under 10

Hi Guys!

As 2015 is literally around the corner I compiled my favourite products of 2014 which also seem to be under £10 :oD We all love beauty products that are amazing for their quality and the price right?! I have seen a few videos on You Tube where people talk about their favourites and I always thought it was going to be hard but surprisingly it was the opposite. I say surprisingly because I always switch up my products but when it came to selecting out the products to write about I just knew which ones were my favourites! Lets just say some of these products were also my morning life savers…you know when you miss your alarm and have like 5 minutes to get ready but NEED to look presentable…..Yup those kinda mornings….

Here are my top 10 products UNDER £10!

1)

IMG_0005

This is the I Divine in Storm Palette by Sleek retailing for £7.99. For the price, this palette is amazing! The eye shadows are incredibly pigmented and smooth. I am a huge fan of primers, both face and eyes, though for these I can get away with not using a primer. With the variety of colours this offers, you can easily use it for a subtle day time eye or pump your whole look with the gorgeous shimmery cranberry, navy blue or even the forest green colour ❤

Not going to lie but I had a bit of a moment when I swatched this eyeshadow for the first time. For £1 the quality and pigmentation of this product is on a whole new level. A level I didn’t even knew existed. This is the Mmmm mono eyeshadow by Makeup Revolution. It is a matte deep brown with great colour pay off. It blends like a dream and is fab for contouring!

3)

I am so sure I use this every day….This is the Rimmel lip liner in Oil Spice retailing for £2.99. What can I say about this lipliner?! Simply just love it! It is very easy to apply, creamy and leaves a matte finish without over drying the lips. Also very suitable for a variety of skin tones as I have used them on different clients before.

4)

Being a concealer addict always on the hunt for great concealers this one by Rimmel is great bargain for £5.49. Very thin consistency and creamy, blends beautifully and doesn’t cake up under the eyes!

IMG_0031

This is the B.Vibrant Lip and Cheek colour in Goji 138 which costs £3.99 ( normally £7.99 but reduced down in Superdrug). This is a lovely berry colour. I usually wear it as a day time bold lip but equally looks nice on the cheeks. It is very hydrating on the lips so for the price this product is a must for me.

This lipstick is simply called shade 11 by Makeup Academy and retails for only £1. Makeup academy always have very creamy and hydrating lip products and this one as always is just as amazing. It is quite a browney colour with a pink/burgundy undertone. Colour is hard to explain but great for the days when I want a natural lip colour.

http://www.superdrug.com/NYC/NYC-Liquid-Eye-Liner-Pearlised-Black-888/p/186430#.VJ7-zlAGAKt

I decided to go out and buy this eyeliner by NYC after hearing Desi Perkins from You Tube rave about it. After buying it for only £2.49 I totally knew why she was in love with it. It has a very thin point which allows for a sharp flick and accessibility to go right in the inner corners of the eye. The liquid is indeed a true black, perfect for a dramatic eyeliner look.

IMG_0048

This blush by Makeup Academy retails for £1 and is simply the bomb.com. It is called Lolly which totally reminds me of the Chupa Chupa lollipops :oD…..just me?? It is a bubblegum pinkey colour and as you can see, I have hit pan. It is totally worth that quid considering how pigmented and long-lasting the colour is.

9)

http://www.superdrug.com/2True/2True-Instant-Colour-Mascara-Shade-1/p/311677#.VJ75B1AGAKs

I use this clear mascara as a clear brown gel. It is by 2True and costs only £1.99. It does the job of a normal brow gel, keeps them in place all throughout the day! It is not clear any more as it has been mixed in with the brown powder I used on my brows. Overall a great product :o)

Whenever anyone asks me for my recommendation of a mascara I honestly always tell them to go for the Maybelline Colossal mascara which costs £7.19. I definitely have a soft spot for this product because it was my first ever mascara I bought and luckily it was worth every penny. I am not a mascara fan but this makes my lashes look so full! It gives the lashes length and volume, works wonders I tell you.

That is all lovelies! Was quite a long post but hopefully it can give new product ideas?!

Love you all! XXX

Winter Lippies

Hi guys!

How are you all?? Hope everyone has had a great day :o)

The chilly days are upon us which means winter is nearly here, yay :oD. I personally love when the day gets dark quickly, with the cold wind blowing in my face and layering up in my scarfs. Even though I do not celebrate Christmas I love the atmosphere the winter months bring with them :o) So cosy!

For the beauty side of things people tend to wear much darker lipsticks. This for me is pretty damn exciting since dark lips are kinda my thing. From rich reds to berry shades to nearly black lipsticks, there is always so much colour on the lips! In today’s post I will be sharing with you all a few of my favourites. Lets get started.

I literally feel the need to applaud for this lipstick! Seriously so hydrating on the lips you wouldn’t even believe! This is a purpley lipstick by Lancome and it is called L’Absolu Nu.

A beautiful cranberry shade from Kate Collection again. If you don’t own any winter lipsticks then this is the one I would highly recommend for everyone to buy!

IMG_0046

This is Sea Sheer by Mac. The formulation of this lipstick is amazingly creamy which is one reason why I am always at the lipstick section in Mac. Really need to buy a few more in different colours… ;o)

Right no joke when I say I have had this lipstick for ages. Totally forgot when I purchased. This is by Revlon in the shade Rosewine. It is more of a peachy red colour, great for a more day time red lip!

Hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful! Let me know what your favourite lip products are in the comments section! XXX
